Why would an author participate?
- You get to meet really cool people who are excited by what you are writing about.
- PR is the most important part of promoting a book.
- The hosts/bloggers on the tour and the people reading the sites are, in the words of Seth Godin, sneezers. They want to know what the latest is and want to tell others.
- The book will receive between 5,000 and 10,000 page views.
- It's free.
What does an author have to do?
- The author starts by getting copies of the books to all of the participants on the tour. (Idea Sandbox helps you with this).
- He or she then needs to have time to work with the web hosts and arrange content for the 5 stops that will be on the tour.
- The author needs to have access to the internet during the tour to answer questions and comments that come up at various stops.
Are there certain kinds of books we are looking for?
I am looking for authors who are willing to spend the time and promote their book.
Books about (or that significantly cover) these key topics are preferred.
- brainstorming
- brand building
- business strategy
- decision making
- creative problem solving
- creativity / innovation
- remarkability
